Reverend Albert Gallmon, Jr. is Senior Pastor of Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. Reverend Gallmon is also a Mathematics Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough  Community  College. Rev.  Gallmon attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Mathematics. He also has a Master of Divinity Degree from Howard University Divinity School in Washington, DC.  Prior to moving to Tampa, Rev. Gallmon served as the Senior Pastor at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.


Reverend Gallmon was an active member of the Twin Cities community. Rev. Gallmon serves on numerous local boards including the Minnesota Council of Churches, the StairStep Foundation, the Council on Crime and Justice, and the Robins, Kaplan, Miller and Ciresi Foundation for Education, Public Health and Social Justice.  Rev. Gallmon also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, Minnesota.  In addition, he served a three-year term (2000 to 2003) on the Minneapolis School Board, and as Chaplain for the Minnesota State Senate (2002-2004). Rev. Gallmon is a past President of the Minneapolis Chapter of the NAACP. In his new home of Tampa, Rev. Gallmon has been nominated to the County Commissioner’s, Affordable Housing Advisory Board.


Reverend Gallmon is married to Mrs. Wilma L. Gallmon and they have two children, Albert and JoAnna.
